The Ateargo Multi Media system is a powerful and sophisticated instrument capable of managing traditional vectors like the radio channel and the switched telephone network, still of utmost importance on a national level, and the most innovative and advanced technologies that take advantage of recently implemented modern channels. These concern the GSM7GPRS network and the new ADSL7HDSL connections that allow the use of apparatus that exploits the TCP/IP protocol standard on a worldwide level.
The heart of the Ateargo Multi Media system is represented by the Operative Centre: Highly technological and advanced software on one side, and intuitive with the possibility to be customised on the other. In fact, the above described architecture couldn’t be really applicable if it were not combined with a simplicity and method in the management of the channels, of the users and indications on the part of the personnel in charge. Pursuing such a philosophy and bearing in mind the requests and suggestions coming from users, URMET ATE constantly updates its system.
It should be pointed out that the platform upon which the all the system has been developed is one of the most stable, modern and complete on the market: LINUX.
The centralisation is essentially composed of a Server with hardware dedicated to various telecommunication vectors and application software designed with modern technology. The Ateargo Multi Media Centre represents the ideal instrument for the integrated management of systems and peripherals based on different transmission channels.
It is capable of carrying out the following activities with characteristics and in a manner that depend on the type of apparatus:
1. Receive alarms
2. Programme the apparatus
3. Effect readings
4. Manage activation
5. Carry out continuous monitoring activity on the functionality of the apparatus
6. Support the centre backup function for peripherals and other operative centres
All URMET ATE apparatus supports the alternative alarm routing function on GSM and TCP/IP channels.
Whenever the peripheral is not able to communicate the alarm to its operative centre, the alarm can be sent to another reserve, or backup, operative centre if it is appropriately configured.
For radio systems, the concept of passive centre applies, that is a reserve centre in which an FEI or an FEP (radio reception module) is placed listening only to the communications that occur between the peripherals and the centre that manages them. The reserve centre is therefore capable of receiving alarms when the main centre is out of use. In this way, the security of the system is doubled.
It must be specified that the reserve centre cannot carry out operations of programming, reading or verification on the peripheral.
